Raqs Gothique Fusion with Ma’isah

Sunday November 9th 11am – 3pm

Ma’isah is the highly regarded founder of Raqs Gothique, pioneer of Gothic Fusion and troupe leader of Serpentskirt as seen recently at the Bayside Hafla. Ma’isah’s Belly Dance journey began in 1999 in New York with her beloved first teacher Safiya, who gave her a strong foundation in Classical Egyptian Beledi. It is from this foundation that Ma’isah strives to above all, dance with her heart and soul. Ma’isah is renowned for her deeply emotive and powerful performances, her strong creative and technical foundation and true love of Middle Eastern Dance. Her engaging and open teaching style is encouraging, informative and inspiring.
